 Welcome
to the 2007 U.S. National Powered Paragliding Convention, an event held
and organized by the Power Paragators of Florida, an EAA Ultralight
Chapter 125, Inc. For the
past several years Florida has been the home of the biggest PPG fly-in in the U.S.
and perhaps the world. This year we have chosen a new location for
this major event. Located between Fort Lauderdale and Naples in
the Seminole Indian Reservation of Big Cypress, this site offers great
advantages over our previous location. From uninterrupted fly times
to 360 degree unobstructed takeoff and landing areas, this site promises
to be everything that any PPG pilot hopes from a perfect flying
location.
The site is located on 60+
acres of ranch land where Atlantic and Gulf coast winds converge to
create some of the most favorable soaring conditions in the country.
With unrestricted air space and wide-open fields, the site gives pilots
of all abilities unlimited opportunity to test their flying skills.
In previous years the
convention has been a 3-day event. Understanding the growth
the convention has experienced every year, we decided to increase it to
4 days, making it more worth while to those traveling long distances.
With an all inclusive ticket price that includes: flying, camping on
site, Saturday's dinner, raffle ticket, and t-shirt (if available)
Located just 34 miles from
Fort Lauderdale the site is only half an hour away from major hotels,
restaurants and airports. Please, visit the
Accommodation page for
information on hotels, and nearby fully loaded cabins. You will
also find information for local RV rentals for camping on site with
similar comforts of those of a hotel room.
Come join us on this great
event loaded with lots of flying time, educational seminars, vendor
exhibits, and camaraderie. It promise to be the best PPG convention
ever.
Please, make sure to take
advantage of the
early registration discount. And don't forget to
visit this site regularly for up to date event information. |
